Film Screening: The Wild Things (Environment Movement)

About
Mon May 6, 5.30pm for 6pm start. With tasty and affordable dinner. The “Wild Things: A Year on the Frontline of Environmental Activism” is an inspiring film made in 2021. It is a film about three environmental struggles – against the Adani coal mine in central Queensland, saving the Tarkine forest in Tasmania and the student strike for climate action. The film shows the amount of work involved to continue in the face of opposition from the police and courts backed by the big end of town. With environment activists featured in the film Coral Wynter and Steffi Leedham talking about the Stop Adani campaigns and next steps for the No Coal campaign.
