La Grande Guerra
La Grande Guerra is a presentation of 16 songs which depict the story on the World War 1 also known as the Great War.
The event took part in Northern Italy but, involved all of Italy and shaped the Italian nation.
• Written by Donald Furlano with purpose to be performed by secondary schools in Italy thereby learning about the history in song.
• The Veneto Club Choir gives a moving rendition and is accompanied by the Boroondara Symphonic Band.
• Two narrators explain the futility of war. Side screens give a synopsis of the narration and songs in English.
• Songs include: Il testamento del Capitano - La leggenda del Piave - Era una notte che pioveva - Sul ponte di Bassano - La canzone del Grappa .
