Join us for the Capturing Nature Exhibition COMMUNITY OPEN DAY at The Chapel Gallery.In Capturing Nature, we travel back to a time where photography was revolutionising science, art, and society.
A selection of large-format photographic prints, taken from the Australian Museum’s extensive archival collection of glass plate negatives, showcase the scientific discoveries of Australian Museum scientists between the 1850s and 1890s, while also telling the story of the advent of photography in our country.
An Exhibition created by the Australian Museum.
We welcome you to view the exhibition, enjoy book readings, and engage in activities.
This event is suitable for all ages.
