Sunday Sessions Jazz: 'The Bowlo XV' - Unity Jazz Band
The fabulous Unity Jazz Band returns on Sunday the 9th of June with Dan Barnett (trombone/vocals), Stan Valacos (double bass) and Andrew Dickeson (drums) returning from their last gig at the Bowral Bowling Club joined by Paul Furniss (reeds) and Andrew Scott (piano). Famous for the world's longest running residency (at the Unity Hall Hotel in Balmain), the band has featured a roll call of Sydney's best jazz musicians for more than 50 years. With jazz players both old and young it has a wonderful combination of history mixed with young energy and talent.
The $35 ticket price ($30 for SH Jazz members, $20 for student/child) plus booking fee is for event entry only, with reserved table seating. Food and drink is available to order at the venue. If you have any special song requests or seating preferences, please let us know when you book! Doors open from 1:00pm with the band playing from 2-5pm.
