Natureweavers Homeschool Bushcraft Intensive : WinterFire (CANCELLED)
Our 4 week WinterFire homeschool program for children aged 7-16 years. Hands-on sessions designed to build the capacity of children to light, tend and use fire with safety, awareness and skill.
Our WinterFire programs are designed to assist children to identify risk and strategies for managing it, the fire triangles, and how to construct fires for different purposes including:
– cooking
– tool making
– medicine brewing
– clay firing
– ecodyeing
– warmth and light
– fuel efficiency
– wet weather fire
as well as the peace and power of fire.
Participants attend each of the weekly sessions for 4 weeks. Cost is for the full program, and participants will make an ember bowl, clay pot, candle, herbal ‘burn gel’, and a tinder pouch.
