SHORT STORIES COURSE
About
These 10 sessions will look at some of the most famous short stories and at what makes a short story great. There will also be opportunities to develop writing for those interested, with writing prompts to which I can provide feedback. For those who want to simply follow along, this is entirely welcome as well! The short stories will include “The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allen Poe, “The Open Window” by Saki, “The Story of an Hour” by Kate Chopin, “The Gift of the Magi” by O. Henry, “The Lady or the Tiger” by Frank R. Stockton, “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson, and “The Monkey’s Paw” by W.W. Jacobs, as well as looking at Aesop’s Fables and Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes.
