About
Grace Wood is a Naarm/Melbourne based artist whose practice involves questioning the ownership and authorship of images removed from their original contexts. Fascinated by the lifecycle of images, from their generation and discovery to their alteration, dispersion, and eventual discard, Wood mines digital, institutional and personal image archives to generate idiosyncratic visual narratives.Join Grace in this workshop to:
• Discover the history and techniques of collage
• Create an analogue collage from found imagery
• Create a digital collage from an analogue collage
• Prepare an image for print outputs
For digital collage, bring your own laptop/phone/tablet with image editing software such as Photoshop/Photoshop Elements. If you don't have these, we will work on analogue ways of developing and presenting your collage.
