These are often the most common causes of claims and the risks within them, ones that can be mitigated or even removed. Our webinar will focus on the specific issues (and cases you can look up and read for yourself) on certification, agreeing to fitness for purpose and other issues in contract, overpromising and under resourcing for projects as well as client budgets and building costs. Felicity will then give you some practical strategies on how to protect your practice and say “No” when needed.

Following completion of this webinar, you will be able to:
- Have a greater understanding of the most common risks we see where practices have agreed to matters that have risked their PI insurance;
- Identify recent cases relating to these issues, particularly relating to certification by design consultants, client budgets, and building costs;
- Gain further insight into contractual clauses to be wary of and particularly those agreeing to ‘fitness for purpose’;
- Manage the risks of overpromising to clients and being under resourced; and
- Understand practical ways to say no or otherwise reduce or mitigate these risks to protect your practice.
