• Join Steamrail Victoria at Warragul Railway Station as we operate our popular steam train shuttles with The Spirit of Warragul, A2 986 hauling heritage red rattler carriages on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2024. Experience the sights and sounds of a bygone era through open carriage windows as our steam locomotive works hard to tackle the grades of Longwarry Bank!

• A2 986 will be joined by V/Line's N456, and will assist in hauling the train in one direction as there is no facility for our steam engine to change ends at Longwarry.

• The train features beautiful timber work & pressed-tin ceilings, walk-through corridors, comfortable compartment style seating and the classic opening windows so you can hear the engine working hard up the hills and whistling to the lineside onlookers. Our on-train facilities include a kiosk which stocks a wide range of light refreshments, snacks and hot & cold drinks. A licensed bar will be operating, serving a range of beers, wines and spirits. A range of souvenirs will also be able for purchase from our on board shop.

• These Shuttles will operate from Warragul to Longwarry and return, passengers will not be able to join/leave the train at Longwarry.

• On Saturday, 7 x return shuttles will depart Warragul at 9:35am, 10:35am, 11:35am, 12:35pm, 1:35pm, 2:35pm and 3:35pm. 
  On Sunday, 6 x return shuttles will depart Warragul at 9:35am, 10:35am, 11:35am, 12:30pm, 1:35pm and 2:35pm.

• THE VINTAGE TRAIN

• Ride with us onboard 'The Vintage Train’, fully restored by Steamrail as an important part of Victoria’s rail heritage.  Our steam locomotives are coal or oil fired and date from 1889 to 1952, while the carriages range from as early as 1906.  The train features beautiful timber work & pressed-tin ceilings, walk-through corridors, opening windows and comfortable compartment style seating.
