Join us in celebrating John Kinsella, the prominent Western Australian poet and activist, as we explore his Collected Poems spanning from 1980 to 2023.
This event honours John’s significant contribution to the WA Poetry community and his recent induction into the WA Writers Hall of Fame. Enjoy performances by local poets and copies of John’s Collected Poems will be available to purchase on the night.
John Kinsella is renowned for his prolific body of work, spanning poetry, fiction, criticism, plays, and cross-genre writing. His numerous accolades include the Australian Prime Minister’s Literary Awards and Western Australian Premier’s Awards for Poetry. Known for his collaborations across the creative spectrum, John is also recognised for his environmental activism and dedication to Indigenous land rights.
This event is run in partnership with UWA Publishing and the 2024 Perth Poetry Festival.
