A Symphonic Spectacular
About
Over 200 passionate musicians from four ensembles will join together to present a spectacular concert in St Paul's Cathedral on Sarturday 14th September at 8pm. Outstanding young pianist Richard Liu will perform Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30, accomanied by the Melbourne University Biomedical Students' Orchestra, conducted by Yuki Goh. Three choirs - Melbourne University Choral Society, Box Hill Chorale and The Star Chorale will combine with MUBSO to perform two magnificent choral works. The contemporary Missa Festiva by John Leavitt will contrast with the powerful Te Deum Op. 103 of the great Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, both conducted by Andrew Wailes.PROGRAM:
