We are delighted to offer this information session about the wonders saori weaving from one of Australia's leading practitioners, Prue Simmons, of Dyeing To Weave Studio. Prue has offered a free presentation to Guild members about the rich and unique history of SAORI weaving and a demonstration of the SAORI loom. This is a valuable opportunity for Guild members to learn more about SAORI weaving, its rich origins and creation in Japan and how it differs from other styles of weaving.The presentation will be held at the Guild headquarters, St George's Church Battery Point and will run from 7pm to 9pm.
This is a free event for Guild members; non Guild members are also very welcome to attend. We request that non Guild members make a gold coin donation on the night.
