Tomato, Know, Sow, Grow
About
Spring Garden ramble with Ryan Garratt, hot soup lunch and talk by Penny Woodward on heirloom tomatoes.
Ryan Garratt is Buda’s Garden Curator with over 25 years experience and also a Garden Educator for the Digger’s Club. Join him at 11am for a spring ramble in our 3 acre heritage garden as it springs to life for the new season.
Penny Woodward is an award winning gardening author and educator. Over a hot soup lunch following the ramble, she will explore heirloom tomatoes and the different phytonutrients they contain, depending on their colours. Following the latest advice to eat 30 different fruits and vegetables a week, different coloured tomatoes count as different fruit/vegies. So growing and eating a rainbow of tomato colours is good. Penny will also have her books for sale on the day.
(Vegan, vegetarian and non vegetarian soup available)
