About
Join the Victorian Branch on a 3 day, all-inclusive coach trip focusing on the landscapes painted by Eugene von Guerard
In March 1857, von Guerard arrived in Camperdown. Over the course of several visits, he travelled around the district, painting and sketching, staying at properties and walking the landscape.
Through the lens of von Guerard, you will have the opportunity to compare the cultural landscapes he painted with those of today and view the historic properties he visited.
Based in Camperdown we will include visits to Lake Gnotuk, Mt Leura, Mt Elephant, Purrumbete and Kilnoorat Cemetery amongst others. In addition, through the generosity of the current owners we are invited to view the historic properties of Wuurong, Larra and Wooriwyrite.
Please note: This tour will include walking over rough ground, steps, slopes and uneven pathways and may require a reasonable amount of walking. Please ensure you wear suitable footwear and that you can walk and stand for a period of time.
