Shira Membership 2024-2025

Thank you for renewing your membership with Shira for the Jewish Year of 5785 (2024-2025).

Membership fees:

Adult: $425 + $20 security levy

Student 13+: $120 + $20 security levy

Child (under bar/bat mitzvah): $90 + $10 security levy

New member: $220 + $20 security levy

Out of town member: $130 + $20 security levy

How to book – please read this first:

We ask for information including Hebrew names, birthdays and anniversaries. This is useful for us to have but you do not need to provide it if you have provided it previously.

Look at the floorplan (next page) and choose your preferred section:

Members - no fixed seats: Members can sit anywhere within this section on a first-come, first-served basis for each service.
Members - fixed seats: You will be able to choose your seat using a self-service online seating plan which corresponds with the floorplan. Your seat in shule will then have your name.
New Members: if this is the first time you are joining Shira - welcome! You can take advantage of a reduced new membership price for this first year only.
Out of town members: At Shira we run services all through the year and we don't offer High Holiday-only membership. But we understand that people who don't live in Melbourne can't take advantage of all-year memberships so we're offering a discounted membership for people who don't live in Melbourne.
Family membership (1-2 adults and 3+ children/students): If you are taking membership for three or more children/students in your household, you may apply the promotional code FAMILY for an 8% reduction on your total family membership.
We welcome everyone at Shira. If our current membership prices are prohibitive for you right now, please feel free to reach out to us using the contact details below. All requests are confidential and treated with sensitivity. Please see information below regarding how to pay in installments.

For fixed seats, please note that we have seperate sections allocated to women and men. You will need to first select seats for those wishing to sit amongst women/girls. After registering each member that will be seated in the women's section, you will be taken to the checkout. Don’t complete payment but click on “Buy more tickets” [bottom left link in your shopping cart] and then select seats for anyone wishing to sit amongst men/boys and complete registration. We welcome gender diverse members to our community and we support you to sit where you choose. There is also a small section for those who don't want to be on the men's or women's side (please select non-fixed seating if you would like to go with this option).

If you want a combination of memberships with and without fixed seating, (for example, you may not want fixed seats for all children, or may want a mix of fixed and non-fixed seating) use the 'Buy more tickets' link to navigate.

When you have paid you will receive an email with your seat numbers. Please keep a record of your seat numbers.

Option to pay in installments - PayPal 'Pay in 4'

If you would like to pay for your membership in 4 installments, you can utilise PayPal 'Pay in 4'. The first payment will be taken at the time of booking, with the next 3 installments to be paid every two weeks over a 6-week period. If you would like to utilise this option please select PayPal as your payment method at checkout. Once you have logged into your PayPal account, if eligible for PayPal Pay in 4, the option will be present for you to select.
