Capricorn Netball is offering a first time ever coach open day!

 

Do you want to know more about what happens at the Academy camps? Do have questions around their purpose? Looking for some guidance on how to implement skills into your training sessions? Have athletes who are part of Academy and want to be part of continuing their development? Have you wanted to get involved with Academy but were worried it was not within reach? Then this is for you!

 

Capricorn Netball is opening the doors to coaches within the region, who would like to learn more, with a series of workshops with Coach Developer Karen Topp from KMT Performance. Karen has been working with our Academy program and each of the squads and will offer key insights into the purpose and goals of each program. Along with this, coaches who attend will gain key information about developing and delivering effective sessions for your athletes to continue developing their skills. 

 

Three workshops are on offer, each two hours long. Coaches can attend one or more sessions. While the topics will be similar, each session with provide a different perspective for the relevant squad groups within Academy.

Focus on skill development, progressions, modifications and feedback 

 

 

Focus on the link between skill development and game play

 

This session will explore the link between effective strength and conditioning as a base to skill development
