Yoga & Ayurveda - Introducing the Elements
About
A workshop with Gyani that unites the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with yoga, to give you an introduction to the foundations of Ayurveda.The five basic elements of ether, air, fire, water, and earth, combine in the body as three characteristic blends (Tri-Doshas): Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
These constitutions have particular characteristics and traits and by understanding what our particular dosha is and which dosha is out of balance, we can then take actions that help to bring us back to homeostasis.
The afternoon includes:
~ Discussion on Ayurveda and the elements
~ Opportunity to discover your Ayurvedic constitution
~ Yoga practice with Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation to bring the body back into harmony
~ Afternoon tea
Suitable for all levels, including beginners with some basic yoga experience.
