Done well, the benefits of co-teaching practices are far reaching: greater flexibility, increased differentiation, improved teacher and learner wellbeing, and continuous professional learning opportunities to name just a few.

THE SESSIONS

Session One: Together as a Team presented by Dr Paula Kluth 

Replay on-demand 1st - 30th November 2024

Participants will become familiar with the critical elements of an effective teaching team. This session is intended to prompt discussion and encourage participants to talk and think about teaching beliefs, roles, and collaborative behaviors. The “why” of co-teaching will be shared as well as relevant research. In addition, teams will learn the benefits of building a relationship with their teaching partners, work through the “Likes, Gripes & Quirks” tool, and consider how to educate stakeholders (e.g., parents, students) about their partnerships.

Session Two: Co-Teaching Structures & Beyond presented by Dr Paula Kluth

In session two, participants will learn about a variety of co-teaching structures (e.g., duet teaching, one teach/one make multisensory, parallel teaching) and explore dozens of ways educators can work together in shared classrooms. A few ideas for using co-teaching “beyond the structures” will also be shared including suggestions for collaborating during literature circles, project-based instruction and independent work time.

Session Three: Making it Happen presented by Amanda Corby & Rachel Carr

This session will look closely at what co-teaching and collaboration can really look like within your school and/or classroom. We will examine how to build effective working relationships between teachers, teaching assistants, specialist teachers, and other members of your school team. Practical tips and strategies will be provided with the aim of strengthening inclusive practices and improving student learning experiences. Case studies and first-hand experiences from within the Australian educational context will be featured.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
For bookings made by credit card, a tax invoice will be issued by Trybooking with your confirmation email. 
Need a tax invoice* prior to payment? Simply enter the code 'INVOICE' into the 'Gift/Promotional Code' section of your cart. No payment will be required and an invoice will be issued to the billing address provided within 2 working days.
*Please note registrations are considered confirmed on submission of the booking and event terms and conditions will apply. Payment terms are 7 days from date of invoice issue. 
 

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Where an invoice is requested, registrations are considered final on submission of the booking form and all event terms and conditions, including cancellation policy, will apply.
• Access is provided for the registered individual/s only. Access details are unique to you and cannot be shared. Sharing access details will compromise your access to the platform and your registration will be cancelled. You will not be eligible for a refund. 
• A $50 change fee applies where changes to attendee names are requested. Changes will be applied on receipt of payment. 
• All cancellations must be made in writing to admin@illumelearning.com.au. For cancellations for any reason, including change of mind, the following terms apply-
  • Cancellations made 15 days or more prior to the event will incur a $50 cancellation fee. 
  • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the event will incur a 50% cancellation fee
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the event will not be eligible for any refund. 
• Refunds will not be offered in the event of non-attendance.
• Where access details are not received, it is the responsibility of the registered attendee to contact admin@illumelearning.com.au. Please check any junk/spam folders first. 
• All access will cease on 30th November 2024 at 11:59pm AEST. No extensions will be available under any circumstances.
