• Join us as we operate a K Class steam locomotive and the heritage electric 'Red Rattler' Tait train for our return to Lilydale Station.

• These shuttles will travel on a scenic return journey through Melbourne's leafy eastern suburbs between Lilydale Station and Ringwood Station. Open the windows and experience the steam era. You may also join us on our transfer trains from Newport Station or Flinders Street Station to Lilydale Station in the morning or Lilydale Station to Flinders Street Station or Newport Station in the afternoon.

• Come along for a ride on The Vintage Train for a fun family day out through Melbourne's eastern suburbs. 

• 4 x return shuttles will depart Lilydale Station at 11:10am, 12:10pm, 1:50pm and 2:50pm. These will operate to Ringwood Station and return, passengers will not be able to join/leave the train at Ringwood Station.

• One way transfer trips will depart at the following times - 
  Newport Station (9:01am) or Flinders Street Station (9:29am) to Lilydale Station arriving at 10:30am.
  Lilydale Station 3:50pm to Flinders Street Station arriving at 4:53pm or Newport Station arriving at 5:21pm.

• NOTE: Newport arrival and departures is from the Railway Station, you are unable to board at our workshops at Newport.

• THE VINTAGE TRAIN

• Ride with us onboard 'The Vintage Train’, fully restored by Steamrail as an important part of Victoria’s rail heritage.  Our steam locomotives are coal or oil fired and date from 1889 to 1952, while the carriages range from as early as 1906.  The train features beautiful timber work & pressed-tin ceilings, walk-through corridors, opening windows and comfortable compartment style seating.
