The Grainger Wind Symphony continues the journey of preparing and performing challenging and diverse works that are enjoyable to listen to and uncomfortable for the players! We continue to stretch our imaginations and understanding of quality music. This concert Elysian Harmonies: Journeys of Serenity and Strength invites you to explore the depths of the human spirit through a selection of evocative works, each weaving its own tale of peace, determination, and unwavering resolve. The concert features:- Paradiso by Robert W. Smith
- guest soloist Jason Xanthoudakis performing III Concerto for Clarinet and Wind Band by Oscar Navarro
- Peace Dancer by Jodie Blackshaw
- Three Revelations on the Lotus Sutra by Alfred Reed
Immovable Doh by Percy Grainger and
- Daniel Chong the GWS 2024 Young Player Scholarship recipient performing a vibraphone solo Afro Blue with piano accompaniment.
