A workshop to learn and experience working with fabrics and tie dye techniques to make colourful Tie-Dye artworkBatik & Tie Dye Artist Akhila Fernando will be hosting two hour workshop to experience making different patterns & designs using Tie dye techniques at Benalla Art Gallery
He will introduce participants to dyes, materials and methods for making an artwork. Dyes, fabric and instructions will be provided and one piece of artwork will be designed by each child during the workshop.
Akhila is an Australian-Sri Lankan artist and is located in Wangaratta. The Batik art heritage was passed down from his father who is a master batik artist in Sri Lanka. Akhila’s own Art brand ARTMORE provides various creative practices within regional Victoria.
