About
We have re-created a series of beautiful ephemeral wetlands here at the Arboretum. This one and a half hour tour will be lead by Development Manager, Cath Olive, and will lead you through the ecology of our local wetland ecosystems, explain the process of creating our chain-of-ponds, and discuss how we maintain and continue to enhance our wetlands.We will discuss the role of different plant species, the importance of a seasonal drying cycle, and the different invertebrates and frogs that call our wetlands home. We will also discuss practical solutions to enhance farm dams for landscape health and biodiversity.
