Handel’s Messiah
As we head into the Christmas season yet again, and look back on the year that has been, we crave the comfort of stability and tradition. Among Christmas traditions for many people is hearing the familiar words and melodies from Handel’s Messiah, its message of hope and peace resonating as much with us today as it did for listeners in the 1750s.
Whether this is already part of your own festive tradition, or a new experience, we invite you to join the Bach Society of Queensland this year as we mark nearly 50 years of annual performances of this favourite work.
