Monterey Secondary College acknowledges that it’s a very big step moving from Grade 6 to Year 7. We have found that the more information teachers have about their new students, the better they are able to support them in the classroom. Primary schools provide us with a lot of information about our new students. However, to further help us to place students into mixed ability classes and to identify students that may need complex literacy/numeracy assistance, special provisions or extension tasks, we ask all Year 7 2025 students to attend a testing session.Families may be contacted if further testing is required.
