Analytical Chemistry Challenge - Science Detectives
About
Teams will undertake a series of chemistry problems to solve a murder. The chemistry involved is aligned with the school curriculum, with opportunities for Years 11, 12 and advanced Year 10 students. There will also be opportunities for students to see extension chemistry applied at university.Please register as a team of 3 or as an individual entrant that will be assigned a team.
After registering, teams will be provided with additional information prior to the event date.
Materials required for lab entry: Please bring a lab coat, safety glasses and enclosed shoes for each student.
As part of the event we will be hearing from Dr Nick Lucas, a forensic chemist with the AFP. We will also provide access to University of Canberra course and student advisors to answer any university-related questions students (or accompanying staff) may have.
