Recently EPA Victoria released Publication 702 to provide guidance on planning sampling of waste soils. The publication includes a number of statistical tools that can be employed to characterise the concentration of contaminants within a decision unit. .The presentation provides an overview on the statistical tools that are contained on Publication 702 and provides an overview of tools that are not included but should be considered. To provide context the presentation will cover background and practical application of the common statistical tools that can be employed to establish a representative concentrations for a domain / volume of interest.
