Wildcare Snake Rescue Course (SRC) 23-24 Nov 2024

This course focuses on the skills you will need to better understand snakes and basic skills to safely rescue snakes.Participants will learn about snake identification, first aid, snake handling techniques, and methods to reduce snake interactions around the home. Participants will develop an appreciation and understanding of snake behaviour.
The initial SRC consists of a practical session and a theory session. Please nominate one practical session to attend, on the Saturday or Sunday. All initial SRC participants are required to attend the online theory session from 6pm Friday.
Wildcare members seeking to update their training proficiency can book on either day. Refresher training consists of a three hour face-to-face training session only.

EQUIPMENT
Initial SRC participants are provided a hoop and bag, pressure bandage and jigger (snake hook), which is included in the course fee ($220 for new Wildcare members).
