"The 39 Steps" is a thrilling and comedic play adapted from John Buchan's novel and Alfred Hitchcock's film. It follows Richard Hannay, a man who becomes entangled in a dangerous conspiracy after witnessing a murder. On the run from the police and a mysterious organisation, he travels across Scotland, encountering quirky characters and navigating a series of misadventures.With a small cast playing multiple roles, the play blends suspense, humour, and romance, culminating in a gripping conclusion as Hannay races to solve the mystery and clear his name. Oscar O'Halloran and Sophie Hart star in Marist College Canberra’s adaptation of ‘The 39 Steps’. Directed by Jack Berg and also featuring Damon Wilson, Oscar Smit, Alex Taylor, Geordie English, the production showcases the sets of Angus Lyons and costumes of Joshua Galang.
The performance will have a 15-minute intermission.
