Inspired: a sculpture for the Art Gallery's new entry atrium
A six-metre wide suspended sculpture was commissioned by Newcastle Art Gallery and supported financially by the Art Gallery Society. Artist Shellie Smith was inspired by First Nations' traditional weaving techniques to create a spectacular work that will greet visitors upon entering the reimagined Art Gallery.
