ROWVILLE SPORTS ACADEMY
ELITE COACHING CAMPS
2025
Rowville Sports Academy - Elite Coaching Camps are an ideal opportunity for young athletes to access a level of coaching and training that they may never have been exposed to previously.
Camps are offered in the Term 1 and Term 2 School Holiday breaks for students in Years 5 - 7 or 8 (in 2025). Students in Years 8/9 - 11 (in 2025) will attend a 1-day camp in the July School Holiday break. Camps run for 2 days for students in Grade 5 - Year 7 (in 2025) and 1 day for the older year levels. The esception to this is our Tennis and Golf Camps which are open to students in Years 5 - 11 (in 2025) and have 2 sessions in total. Each day runs like a school day from 9.00am - 3.00pm (with the exception of Tennis and Cricket Camps). The Cricket Camps for all year levels is one day only!
These coaching camps serve a dual purpose;
-
A fantastic opportunity for young athletes, upward of grade 5, to attend training sessions lead by some of Australia’s Elite Level Coaching Teams. Exposing these students to training methods, skills and drills sessions that are generally only available to elite, up and coming, young athletes. This gives these students the opportunity to develop their individual skill-level and gain an insight into where improvements can be made in their training regime. Students who attend these sessions have the advantage of understanding the process and skill level that is required for the chance of selection into Rowville Secondary College's strength-based program, Rowville Sports Academy (RSA) for a future enrolment opportunity.
- These sessions allow the Coaching Teams of RSA to observe and identify student athletes (Years 5 – 12) that could potentially be a good fit for the elite sporting programs run through the Rowville Sports Academy. Invitations may be extended to these identified Year 7 - 11 (in 2025) students to enrol at Rowville Secondary College, Sports Academy for a midyear intake in 2025, for the begining of the 2026 academic year, and younger students seeking an enrolment for Year 7 in 2027. Please note that for students seeking Year 7 in 2026 enrolments, the process is a little different.
- Please submit copies of your last 2 end-of-year School Reports and a copy of your Birth Certificate OR valid Passport. Documenatation is only required to be sent through the year before eligibility for enrolment.
PLEASE FORWARD THESE DOCUMENTS (prior to your trial) via email to: rsa@rowvillesc.vic.edu.au
- If you have booked for a Term 1 Camp that has become full before we are able to close the bookings, your child will be moved to the equivalent Term 2 Camp of Term 3 Trial Day.
***Please note that the Trial Day in Term 3 is only available for students' seeking enrolments into RSA for 2026.
