Understanding Autism in the classroom
About
Professional Development activities for Teachers and Educational Support Staff who want more knowledge and understanding of autism and how it impacts the classroom.These workshops will assist attendees to increase their understanding of the fundamentals of ASD and develop skills to better support autistic students.
All day seminar - Friday 7th March 2025
9.30-11am Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder and the impact of learning
11.30am - 1pm Communication across the spectrum
1.45pm - 3.30pm Occupational Therapy in the classroom
These will be presented by Pamela Mathieson, Principal and the Northern School for Autism Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy Teams.
Cost: $200 per person (includes hand out notes, examples of visual supports, morning tea and certificate)
