Dr. Newling will guide you through the art of turning cream into butter, using both modern techniques and historical methods.
Discover the science behind churning, rinsing, and shaping butter, while learning about food preservation and its role in domestic life before household fridges were available. Try your hand at making your own butter in just 10 minutes—and yes, you’ll get to taste the delicious results, spread on fresh bread!
List of ingredients for allergen purposes: Standard fresh cream (dairy product), bread (with gluten and wheat). Gluten free bread can be provided if requested. Tasting is optional.
This program is for 12 years and above (Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket).
