School Holiday Activity: Earth Hour Prep + Giveaways Bowral
About
Earth Hour is celebrated across the globe every year usually in the third week of March. This year, instead of running an event which has a large associated energy and waste footprint, we want to give back to nature, with a tree planting day.Did you know that the area around the Bundanoon dog park is a rare and endangered habitat called Shale Woodland? We will be restoring some of this habitat and adding casuarina species essential for Glossy Black Cockatoos as habitat and food trees.
Event Details:
- February 3 and 4 colour in the tree guards we will use on the planting day and take home a native plant (Vanilla Lily, pictured below)
- March 23 join us at Bundanoon dog part to help plant our 60 trees plus plants to re-establish Shale Woodlands and glossy black cockatoo habitat.
