Wherever you are on your pastel painting journey there’s room to learn and grow. Join me this term as
we explore and interpret the world around us through the intuitive, versatile and forgiving medium of
soft pastels.
We’ll focus on contrast in it’s many forms as a means to add interest, drama, depth and excitement to
our paintings. We’ll take a look at the works of various pastel artists and see what makes their paintings
sing.
Each week I’ll demonstrate a different aspect of contrast and give you individual support and guidance
as you incorporate the ideas and techniques into your own paintings. There will be simple, effective and
fun exercises and plenty of time to work on larger paintings.
