Set in the geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School, six eccentric adolescents compete for the coveted spelling bee championship, each with their own quirks, secrets, and dreams. They're guided (or misdirected) by three equally quirky adults who somehow manage to keep the event running smoothly—sort of!
