Peninsula favourite and award-winning pianist and composer Daniel Rojas returns with special guest, Colombian soprano Paola Monroy in an exotic musical exploration of Latin America. Bringing their rich lyricism and unshakable rhythmic vibrancy to Latin American songs, folktunes and classic arias from the southern continent, the duo’s irresistible warmth and charismatic charm transport audiences to another world and culture. Paola Monroy’s signature costume changes complement the varying musical genres with texts in several languages, including Amerindian, Spanish, and Portuguese dialects. This program also features solo piano performances by Daniel Rojas from his many critically acclaimed projects such as his ever-popular album, Bliss of Heaven, Libertango Suite, and Rojas’ off-the-cuff improvisation for which he is renowned.
