Women on Water (WOW) - Learn to sail for beginners
About
Ever wanted to try sailing on a large yacht? Join us for some fun and learning at the Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron (RSAYS) at Outer Harbour! RSAYS is offering a short course for women, suitable for beginners or those with basic sailing knowledge. Over the March weekend, each day will combine on-shore learning and instruction, followed by hands-on practice on the water.Experienced RSAYS sailors and keelboat owners will guide you through small group instruction on their yachts, with multiple mentors to support your learning.
Schedule:
Sat 15 March, 9am-4pm: Learn the basics of sailing, with on-shore and on-water sessions. BYO lunch onboard.
Sun 16 March, 9am-4pm: Continue Saturday’s lessons with more onshore learning, followed by on-water practice. BYO lunch. End the day with a debrief and drinks on the Quarterdeck.
Cost: $150 per person.
