Into the Guts of HistoryVenture underground to explore the blue stone foundations under the 150 years old church.
It will get dirty und uncomfortable. You will crawl on your knees and (hopefully not) bump your head. Ok, still interested? This will be the first public tours under the German Lutheran Trinity Church since its construction in 1874. This church was built on sand but rests on solid blue stone foundations. A fantastic glimpse into the construction methods of the 19th century! The tour starts through a narrow trapdoor in the vestry and continues under the sanctuary. For the most adventurous, a way opens under the nave for further looks along the walls of the foundation.
Small guided tours of max. 4 persons, 10 to 15 minutes long. Long sleeved shirt, long pants and fully enclosed shoes required. Only for sporty visitors 16 years or older.
