Catriona (Celtic harp) & Chris (fiddle, viola) are one of Scotland best loved duos with roots in Scottish traditional music. On tour in Australia, they will perform here as a trio with Shane Lestideau (fiddle and viola d'amore) for a special night of inspired musical creativity and collaboration.Chris and Catriona have performed, explored and sculpted their musical identities together for more than 25 years. Through a respect for tradition and a spirit of experimentation they continue to evolve and create a sound sensation and style “operating at a rarefied level of expertise.” Shane is a renowned Australian fiddler with a passion for history and musical storytelling. Moving seamlessly between baroque repertoire, traditional Scottish tunes, and new Australian compositions, she draws on her parallel career as a classical violinist to take her fiddle playing to new and unexpected places.
The concert is in the beautiful 1854 salon of 'The Heights' heritage house in Geelong.
