About
Join textile artist Cassi Jo Davis for a hands-on workshop transforming historical or family photos into beautiful textile art. Using a special photocopying technique, images are transferred onto vintage linen and appliquéd onto handmade doilies with crocheted lace. Participants can personalize their pieces with vintage fabrics, antique lace, millinery flowers, buttons, ink drawing, and hand embroidery. All materials are provided, with a focus on sustainability through upcycled vintage remnants. Attendees are encouraged to bring a sentimental photo or family embroidery, doilies, or lace to incorporate into their artwork.As part of the Southern Forests and Valleys Heritage Festival 2025.
