Discover the luscious/seductive, rich qualities of cold wax medium, oil paint, dry pigments, collage and much more in this packed workshop. You will learn new techniques if you are an experienced artist and explore how to progressively build up layered paintings.
The emphasis will be on the understanding of supports, tools, materials, composition and many creative techniques.
There will be demonstrations and informal discussions about allowing the work to develop spontaneously.
On the first day, you will have plenty of time to complete 6 small paintings; 1 ink, charcoal and cold wax medium work on paper. Day 2 you will produce 1 small painting with collage embedded and one small painting utilising all of or some of the techniques covered during days one and two.
Some notes on techniques will be provided and samples of experimental techniques will be completed during this workshop.
