16th National Paediatrics Bioethics Conference

About
When providing clinical care, uncertainty or conflict can arise over the best course of action to take. Clinical ethics can offer ways to think through many of the challenging issues that confront us when analysing situations and weighing up treatment options when caring for a child and their family. This work of moral deliberation is informed by the theoretical frameworks offered by the field of bioethics. So how valuable and relevant are bioethical theories to clinical ethics and everyday clinical practice? In this year’s conference we explore the contribution of bioethics and ethical principles to aspects of paediatric care.We welcome you to the 16th National Paediatric Bioethics Conference at The Royal Children’s Hospital 3-5th September 2025 where we will explore the role and impact of broader philosophical and bioethical ideas debates in clinical care.
