Dr Ran Porat is an affiliate research associate at the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation, Monash University, Research Fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism, Reichman University, Herzliya, Israel and a Research Associate The Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council (AIJAC). These days he is part of the Monash team investigating and educating staff and students about antisemitism in Australian universities. Dr Porat teaches about Israel, the conflict with the Palestinians and the Middle East at Monash University and Melbourne University. His articles were published in Australian and international media, and he is regularly interviewed for analysis on TV and Radio in Australia and Israel. A former IDF intelligence officer, moved to Australia from Israel in 2008.
