Takayna - The Heart of Lutruwita — Queenscliff Screening
About
Through the power of personal stories, be taken on a journey to the vast and threatened landscapes of Australia’s largest temperate rainforest in northwest Lutruwita / Tasmania. This area, known as Takayna / Tarkine, is one of the last wild places on Earth. ‘Takayna / Tarkine — the Heart of Lutruwita’ is an inspiring and hopeful film about the battle to defend Takayna from mining and logging. These people are fighting for its protection, and you can as well.Following the film screening: Beth Ross, local botanist and wearer of hats on several environmental groups, will offer her knowledge about the health of Bellarine’s vegetation AND Geelong based singer Belinda Densley will share some music that reflects on our relationship with nature.
