Chinese Decorative and Applied Arts Exhibition

About
This unique exhibition showcases a collection of carefully preserved Chinese decorative and applied arts from the 19th and 20th centuries, sourced from private collections of Russian immigrants who relocated to Australia from Harbin after World War II. The collection includes the rarest exhibits – genuine rarities that are extremely difficult to find outside of this exhibition today.Visitors to the exhibition can look forward to experiencing a rich collection of artworks, including exquisite silk robes, rare examples of calligraphy, and antique maps. Special attention is given to the work of Chinese artists, who have presented picturesque paintings on silk, traditional scrolls, and unique items made using the black wire technique – filigree.
Connoisseurs of beauty will be able to admire elegant women's jewellery, hand-made fans, handbags, silk-embroidered blouses, lacquered boxes, and the finest porcelain, such as the famous celadon, skilfully woven baskets and vases.
