These films will be presented and analyzed by historian Peter Hack.Bringing Anna May Wong’s legacy into the present, actress Fiona Choi reflects on the lasting impact Wong has had on her own life and career as a Chinese-Australian performer. Fiona will explore how Wong's journey inspired her creative ambitions and discuss the challenges she has faced while navigating two cultural identities in her own career.
As Jenny Law, the matriarch in SBS’s The Family Law, Fiona broke new ground by challenging stereotypes and helping to pave the way for more authentic representation of Asian Australians in the media.
