Sunshine Brass, already over 100 years old, is the longest running volunteer association on The Sunshine Coast. Established in 1906 and despite undergoing a few name changes over the years, its members are now celebrating their 118th year of continuous musical magic.From booming marches, sexy swing to Beatles favorites, Sunshine Brass is all about giving back. With members, both young and old, Sunshine Brass certainly knows how to support newcomers who no doubt are keen to carry on the tradition of delighting local audiences.
The current conductor of Sunshine Brass is Dr. Heather Aitken stated “The uniqueness of this concert will be to utilize the Majestic Theatre’s 1937 Compton Organ and to introduce the amazing skills of Barry Moore an organist who has performed throughout Australia”. Hearing the Organ joining the Band in playing Dam Busters March is just the start". A concert not to be missed.
June 1st. Doors and bar open at 1pm. Concert starts at 2pm. Tickets $25.00.
