About
Two chess workshops in the school holidays for chess players under the age of 18.
Morning Workshop: 8:45am to 12:45pm. Cost: $44.00
Arrival: between 8:30am and 8:45am. Departure: between 12:45pm and 1:15pm.
Afternoon Workshop: 1:15pm to 5:15pm. Cost: $44.00
Arrival: between 12:45pm and 1:15pm. Departure: between 5:15pm and 5:30pm.
The workshop lessons cover different chess topics, so any student who attends for the whole day will receive different lessons.
The workshops are designed to cater for all levels. The only requirement is that participants already know how the chess pieces move and capture.
Both novice and advanced chess players will all learn important chess knowledge and develop valuable chess skills.
Parents/Guardians may stay and participate in the workshops if they so wish.
The main instructor for these workshops will be experienced chess teacher Jay Lakner.
Lunch will not be provided. Students who attend both the morning and afternoon sessions on the same day should bring a packed lunch, or make some other lunch arrangement.
