Every Nipper is required by Surf Life Saving to undertake a mandatory evaluation swim each year to assess their competancy in the water for their Nippers age group.
The club provides this opportunity for you to come and have your child(ren) assessed free of charge.
Your family MUST be fully registered prior to coming. Refer https://shellharboursurfclub.com/join
If you are coming to this session, you do not need to bring the swim form with you ... just come.
Book a timeslot for EACH child please, not one for the family.
Booking allocated timeslots ensures you are in and out as efficiently as possible, and not waiting around.

⚠️ If you are already having your childs swim evaluation done at a swim school or private arrangement, then you do not need to attend this session. Follow the instruction on the swim form.
Entry will be free for the swim assessment only. We must stay in our allocated lanes. Please control your children in this regard.

Can I still do Nippers if my child fails the evaluation swim ?
YES, but we need to ensure 1-on-1 water safety with the child, and that may not always be possible. Your child may have to sit out of water activities if we cannot provide adequate support on any given day.
Please note that Nippers is NOT a place to learn to swim !!
We cannot stress that enough. If your child is a poor swimmer or is not deemed competant, we encourage you to seek swimming lessons.
