Noongar Language Singing Workshop with Gina & Guy

Learn to sing in Noongar from Gina and Guy’s catalogue of contemporary songs in Noongar language!
We'll learn a welcome song, a counting song and a nursery rhyme in Noongar, hear about the four principles of Koort (heart), Moort (family/community), Boodja (land) and Koorlangka (children/legacy), and discuss their meaning to us individually and as a community.
Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse are artists whose music is a celebration of life, community and shared humanity. They bring a fresh take on ancient traditions, merging evocative sounds, telling stories through song, using rare Noongar language to perfectly capture the essence of two best friends, performing beautifully crafted music.
